You will manage a diverse caseload across civil litigation and various liabilities, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and negotiate settlements while working independently in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• 1–3 years of insurance defense experience in civil litigation and related liabilities
• Active member of the state Bar in good standing
• Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven ability to handle a large volume of cases
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and remotely

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through trial preparation
• Developing strategies to effectively represent clients in complex litigation matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court
• Collaborating with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to case management
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in insurance law and related areas
