Tyson & Mendes is seeking an Associate Attorney in San Diego to join our civil defense team. This role focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and other complex civil litigation, with mentorship from experienced insurance defense attorneys and trial lawyers.

The ideal candidate holds a CA JD and active bar license, has 1–8 years of litigation exposure, and is eager to advance in a flexible, primarily remote environment with office options.

Qualificações

• JD from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active CA bar license required.
• 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload, from discovery through trial.
• Prior insurance defense experience preferred.
• Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
