Qualifications

• Active Property and Casualty license or willingness to obtain the appropriate license before selling insurance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort initiating conversations with current customers and recommending additional protection.
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and explain coverage clearly.
• Sales-minded approach with a focus on customer needs.
• Ability to use quoting platforms, customer management systems, phone, email, and text.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact existing customers to review their insurance needs and current coverage.
• Conduct policy reviews at renewal and when customers experience changes in their household, vehicles, property, or other insurance needs.
• Identify opportunities to add policies such as home, auto, renters, umbrella, motorcycle, boat, and landlord insurance.
• Discuss life insurance needs and assist or coordinate with an appropriately licensed team member.
• Ask questions to uncover coverage gaps and explain available protection in clear, everyday language.
• Prepare quotes, explain recommendations, address questions, and ask for the sale.
• Follow up consistently on recommendations and outstanding quotes.
• Help customers understand bundling opportunities and available discounts.
• Maintain accurate customer notes and follow-up tasks in agency systems.
• Meet established sales goals and activity expectations for customer outreach, conversations, quotes, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with the service team to address customer needs and ensure a smooth experience.
• Follow agency procedures and carrier underwriting guidelines.
• Participate in training, coaching, call reviews, and team meetings.
