Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Remote Inpatient Medicare Medical Director to oversee utilization management and quality improvement for inpatient care, partnering with clinical teams and stakeholders to support complex medical reviews and regulatory compliance. This leader guides performance improvement and network initiatives across the organization.

Location: Remote (US-based candidates only). Compensation: $215,000 – $408,500 annually.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• Experience in Utilization Management preferred.
• Active medical practice required.
• Coursework in Health Administration or a related field is advantageous.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for utilization management and quality improvement.
• Conduct medical reviews for complex and controversial services.
• Support performance improvement initiatives for capitated providers.
• Assist in planning and establishing quality and cost-effectiveness goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements in medical programs.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and providers on complex cases.
• Participate in provider network development and market expansion.
