Job summary

Alaffia Health is seeking a Medical Bill Reviewer in New York, NY. You will analyze medical claims and audit provider documentation to modernize medical claim auditing.

The ideal candidate has facility inpatient coding experience, a clinical license (RN) preferred, and a minimum of 3 years in auditing. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a flexible paid vacation policy.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing claim forms and auditing provider documentation.
• Ability to research and verify claim coding accuracy.
• Experience working with national guidelines such as CPT codes, ICD-9/10.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical claims and patient medical records.
• Combing through UB-04/IB's for coding/billing violations.
• Confirming automatic audit results based on guidelines.

Skills

Facility inpatient coding/auditing experience

Deep background in medical billing

Knowledge of PHI/HIPAA compliance

Education

Clinical license (RN) preferred

Minimum of 3 years of auditing/bill review experience

Certifications (CPC/CIC/CRC/CPMA) mandatory
