Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years inpatient coding experience, CCS preferred (RHIT/RHIA considered), and proficiency with Epic EHR and the 3M encoder. Remote PST hours and ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Three years of inpatient coding experience or more.
• Experience coding across multi-specialty inpatient cases.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties (Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplants, NICU).
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per regulatory and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet established productivity and quality expectations.
