General Motors is seeking a Software Test Engineer specialized in Infotainment to execute manual and automated tests, configure test benches, and document defects with reproducible steps. You will collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Development, Validation, and Suppliers to drive defect resolution and plan weekly verification testing.

The role requires experience across Automotive SW testing, CAPL/Python, and embedded OSes (Android, Linux, QNX) with strong test management skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Software Test Engineer – Vehicle Software Management, System Test Lead, Senior Staff Systems Engineer, Software Systems Engineer II, Senior Test Engineer, Test Engineer or related occupation.
• Five (5) years of experience in Automotive SW Testing or Development, including experience with test automation and test or software architecture; LAN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools; Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem Features in the Infotainment domain; and CAPL Programming and Python Programming.
• Three (3) years of experience in Operating Systems including Android, Linux and QNX; Project and Test Management; and Requirement Analysis and Systems Engineering.
• Two (2) years of experience in In-Vehicle Network and Diagnostics, Diagnostic Testing.

Responsabilidades

• Execute manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment function and performance requirements.
• Configure benches to support specific test scenarios.
• Characterize and document defects with steps to reproduce, link failures to requirements, and collect test logs.
• Develop and update test cases as required.
• Interact with Systems Engineering, Software Development, Validation, and Suppliers to support defect resolution.
• Plan and manage execution of weekly verification testing.
• Coordinate test assignments for a large multi-functional team to meet all test requirements.
• Lead, collaborate, and improve testing on Infotainment ECU.
• Verify Infotainment features over CAN, Ethernet and LIN protocols.
• Provide regular status updates and complete documentation and test results.
• Perform diagnostics, partial network, and DPS calibration testing.
