Job summary

A.N. Deringer is seeking a remote Customs Brokerage Support Associate to join our team and assist with processing and assimilating customer data to facilitate the movement of goods across international borders.

The role includes serving as the customer service liaison, resolving shipping and billing issues, processing Customs and PGA entries, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with forwarders and government agencies. Working hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customs brokerage preferred.
• Excellent communication and data-handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the customer service liaison between the company and the customer(s).
• Resolves problems (e.g., billing, tracking shipments) and handles customer concerns.
• Processes Customs and PGA entries for clearance of goods into the United States.
• Opens files, enters notes, information and document requests in corporate systems.
• Reviews commercial invoices and documents to meet government and carrier regulations.
• Coordinates shipments with U.S. forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and agencies.
• Ensures compliance with FDA, EPA, USFWS, and other government regulations.
• Maintains client communication and confidential information handling.
