Job summary

Mursion Inc. is seeking a Content Designer to design immersive simulations that let learners practice essential skills.

You’ll contribute to the full design process, align with customer needs and quality standards, and work remotely with a cross-functional team to deliver high-impact experiences. Ideal candidates bring at least 2+ years of relevant experience, strong writing and storytelling abilities, and comfort using AI tools to support research, drafting, and analysis in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, researching, or writing complex human-centered content, experiences, or scenarios.
• Strong writing, editing, and synthesis skills, translating complex context into clear materials for different audiences.
• Exceptional attention to detail, reviewing requirements, feedback, and materials for accuracy and quality.
• Comfort with ambiguity and complexity, asking thoughtful questions and moving work forward without a step-by-step blueprint.
• Strong communication and collaboration, engaging with teammates and cross-functional partners, and representing the design approach with credibility.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote, distributed startup environment.
• Technical curiosity and experience using AI tools to support research, drafting, analysis, or creative development.

Responsibilities

• Develop realistic simulation concepts, storylines, characters, interaction dynamics, and scenario structures reflecting real-world contexts.
• Research target audience, industry, roles, contexts, interpersonal dynamics, and performance challenges for authentic simulations.
• Author participant-, client-, and internal-facing simulation materials communicating purpose and value.
• Draft scoring criteria and assessment guidance for valid evaluation and customer insights.
• Lead design consultations with clients and subject matter experts to gather context and refine simulations.
• Work with AI tools to produce authentic simulation design; act as designer and producer.
• Train and support Simulation Specialists in understanding design, character dynamics, and delivery expectations.
• Use feedback and data to maintain, update, and improve simulations.
