Job summary

Inserso Corporation seeks a Cabling Technician to install low voltage structured cabling supporting ICT systems in government facilities. The role requires travel across CONUS and OCONUS, with remote work from the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities include conduit, cabling, testing, and producing as-built drawings, while adhering to Division 27 standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of installation experience, DHS experience, and strong communication skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• US citizen and pass DHS E-Verify.
• 3–5 years of relevant installation experience.
• Proficient in terminating CAT3/5e/6/6a, RG6/RG11, and fiber optics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical documents, assess materials, and develop execution strategies.
• Perform site assessment surveys and determine conditions.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and purchasing/shipping of materials.
• Lead installation activities including conduit, raceways, cabling, racks/cabinets, testing, labeling, as-built drawings, and invoicing.
• Be familiar with ISP/OSP cabling types and fiber optics, including splicing.
• Respond to information requests and participate in meetings to present information.
• Manage projects and maintain milestone progress updates.
• Follow government cabling standards and procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement in documentation, processes, and customer service.
