Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an IC Security Architect to lead security architecture planning and implementation for regulated SaaS, federal enclaves, and hybrid environments. You will translate FedRAMP/NIST/CMMC requirements into secure designs, define IAM patterns including PIV/CAC, and establish encryption and PKI strategies.

Work is remote with nationwide eligibility; candidates should have 8+ years of regulated-technology security experience, Azure Gov expertise, and strong documentation

Qualifications

• Must meet federal background and access requirements where applicable.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• CISSP, CCSP, CISM or comparable advanced certification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive information security and security architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in FedRAMP Moderate/High, NIST 800-53/171, FIPS, HIPAA, FISMA, CMMC.
• Azure/Azure Government, on-premises, and hybrid experience; multi-cloud preferred.
• Expert IAM with PIV/CAC, MFA/passwordless, RBAC/ABAC, and PAM.
• Experience with VA or other federal integrations; architecture artifacts required.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture planning, design recommendations, and implementation guidance for regulated SaaS and federal cloud environments.
• Define authorization boundaries, data flows, interconnections, and inheritance.
• Translate security requirements into secure designs, standards, and evidence.
• Design IAM, passwordless, PIV/CAC, and privileged access patterns.
• Define cryptography, PKI, TLS/mTLS, and encryption patterns aligned to FIPS.
• Establish secure Azure, Azure Government, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud patterns.
• Create reusable security architecture patterns for various deployment models.
• Lead threat modeling, design reviews, risk assessments, and architecture artifacts.
• Embed SAST/SCA/DAST and DevSecOps practices into pipelines; manage logs and monitoring.
• Develop SSPs, control narratives, diagrams, and evidence for audits.
• Support SaaS, federal, corporate security initiatives; assess vendor and supply-chain risk.
