Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking an ICAM Identity Provider Engineer to support enterprise authentication for DoD with ADFS, SAML/OIDC, and certificate-based security. The role is fully remote and requires a security clearance.

You will design, implement, and maintain IdP services, collaborate across security, cloud, and apps teams, and help modernize identity with Zero Trust concepts. Strong IAM and AD experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years IAM/Authentication/Federation/ICAM experience in government or regulated environments.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft ADFS infrastructure.
• Experience implementing IdP services for large user populations.
• Experience with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, WS-Federation, and JWT technologies.
• Experience with PKI, certificate-based authentication, and MFA solutions.
• Experience integrating apps and APIs with federation platforms.
• Experience with AD/LDAP directories and enterprise identity repositories.
• Experience configuring claims, mappings, and token workflows.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience deploying enterprise authentication products in secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain IdP services for millions of identities.
• Engineer and sustain ADFS infrastructure for enterprise authentication and federation.
• Configure federation trusts with internal/external IdPs and SPs.
• Implement authentication solutions including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, WS-Fed, and certificates.
• Support onboarding of enterprise apps into the authentication ecosystem.
• Develop policies, claims, and token issuance workflows.
• Support SSO, MFA, CA, and phishing-resistant authentication.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and cloud teams to ensure secure auth.
• Contribute to Zero Trust architecture and identity modernization.
• Produce architecture diagrams, guides, SOPs, and onboarding materials.
• Participate in Agile development and continuous service improvement.
