Job summary

Unisys is seeking an IBM MQ System Administrator to design, implement, and manage IBM MQ clusters across distributed environments. You will handle MFT setups, queue manager coordination, and proactive monitoring, ensuring high availability and performance through patching and tuning.

The role involves scripting in PowerShell and Linux shells to automate provisioning, health checks, and deployment tasks. Strong collaboration with application teams to optimize message flows and address MQRC issues

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, configuring, and supporting IBM MQ clusters.
• Experience with IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) setup and monitoring.
• Patching, backup/restore, and performance tuning of MQ environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and support IBM MQ clusters with HA and workload balancing.
• Set up and monitor IBM MQ MFT and coordination queues.
• Perform MQ maintenance, patching, backups, and upgrade planning.
