Job summary

Unisys is seeking an IBM MQ System Administrator to design, configure, and support MQ clusters in a distributed environment. You will manage MFT, perform maintenance, and plan upgrades while automating tasks with PowerShell and Linux scripting.

The role requires strong MQ monitoring, debugging skills, and collaboration with application teams to ensure reliable message delivery and secure operations. This is a full-time position in the United States with exposure to enterprise-scale MQ

Qualifications

Strong experience configuring and supporting IBM MQ clusters.
Experience with IBM MQ MFT setup and monitoring.
Maintenance tasks including patching, backups and tuning.
Upgrades planning and testing in multi-node clustered environments.
Scripting automation in PowerShell and Linux shells.
MQ monitoring and debugging to resolve message flow issues.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and support IBM MQ clusters with HA and workload balancing.
Set up and manage IBM MQ MFT and coordination queue managers.
Perform MQ maintenance, patching, log management, and tuning.
Plan and execute MQ version upgrades; validate post-upgrade results.
Develop and run PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate MQ tasks.
Develop MQ monitoring scripts and troubleshoot MQ errors in distributed environments.
