Job summary

PingWind is seeking a DBA / Data Modeler / Data Engineer to manage, design, and optimize data activities for FSA IAM systems, enabling secure sharing and analytics. This role supports identity management, fraud analysis, and system integrations in a remote setting.

Required are a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, with a Public Trust clearance preferred. Responsibilities include data modeling, mappings, dictionaries, and data dictionaries, plus system performance tuning and backups.

Qualifications

  • Requires strong expertise in database administration, data modeling, and data engineering.
  • Proficiency with relational databases, data modeling tools, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to create and maintain clear data models, mappings, and dictionaries.
  • Experience with secure handling of sensitive identity and PII data.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning for databases.
  • Good understanding of data integration, sharing, and analytics support.
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with development, security, and operations teams.
  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting data and database issues.
  • Familiarity with federal IT environments and compliance requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed file layouts, source-to-target mappings, and data models.
  • Design, support, and enhance automated data-sharing processes for IAM systems.
  • Support network management tasks related to data flows and IP capture.
  • Implement analytic tagging and dynamic error messaging; maintain ASI documentation.
  • Support AIMS token management data processes and environment configurations.
  • Handle database configurations, performance tuning, backups, monitoring, and capacity management.

Position Description

The DBA / Data Modeler / Data Engineer is responsible for managing, designing, and optimizing all data-related activities for the FSA IAM systems. This role ensures data is accurate, secure, well-organized, and efficiently shared to support identity management, reporting, fraud analysis, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

The DBA / Data Modeler / Data Engineer provides detailed file layouts, source-to-target mappings, conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and data dictionaries for all intersystem connections, loads, and extracts. They design, support, and enhance automated processes for internal data sharing with authorized FSA applications, including analytics support for user account analysis and fraud detection. Additional responsibilities include supporting network management tasks related to data flows, capturing true user IP addresses, implementing network edge protection measures, enabling analytic tagging and dynamic error messaging, maintaining application-specific information (ASI) documentation, and supporting AIMS token management data processes. They also contribute to environment support by handling database configurations, performance tuning, backups, monitoring, and capacity management to keep IAM systems running efficiently."

Salary Range

$93k-$128K
