Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to cover high school programs, including practices, games, and tournaments, while preventing and treating injuries for student-athletes. You will work with physicians, coaches, and staff to safeguard health and ensure accurate medical documentation.

This role requires BOC certification, BCLS, and state licensure, with orientation for new graduates. Remote work is not indicated; shift schedules vary by day and event needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
• NATA BOC certification required upon hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides Athletic Trainer coverage for high school athletic programs, including practices, games, and tournaments.
• Prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries and medical conditions of student-athletes.
• Collaborate with physicians, coaches, school staff, and parents to ensure health and safety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.
• Develop and implement injury prevention programs, including strength and conditioning guidance.
• Provide emergency care and establish medical referrals as needed.
• Deliver athletic training services for select community events in collaboration with Essentia Health.
