Job summary

NeighborWorks Sacramento seeks a HUD Certified Housing Counselor (Spanish-speaking) to assist clients in Sacramento with budgeting, credit readiness, and homeownership goals.

The role involves counseling on borrower's financial position, pre-purchase readiness, foreclosure prevention, and post-purchase guidance, using HUD standards and internal workplans. Remote work is possible for HUD credentials holders.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing/credit counseling and mortgage servicing.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• HUD Counselor certification preferred or able to achieve within two months.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Remote work is possible for HUD-certified credentials holders.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and analysis on mortgage affordability and budgeting.
• Pre-Purchase counseling and readiness assessment.
• Assist foreclosure prevention cases and communicate with servicers.
• Post-Purchase counseling and document management.
• Maintain case data in client management systems.
