Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director, HR Deal Lead to oversee the people workstream across outsourcing bids and employee transitions, from early design to handover.

You will collaborate with Sales, Solutioning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Delivery, and regional HR teams, supporting opportunities across the Americas and beyond.

This role requires travel and reports to a Director or Senior Director; remote work is available for qualified US applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an HR deal workstream end-to-end.
• Transformation, employee relations, or workforce transition experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of employment law.
• Client-facing delivery, risk assessment, contract review, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Commercial acumen and solution-focused approach.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders and strong judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation.
• Program management skills in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR input into people solution design for outsourcing pursuits.
• Assess regional sensitivities and transfer implications; define approaches.
• Lead due diligence and translate data into risks and actions; cost inputs.
• Review HR provisions in contracts; present to senior stakeholders.
• Establish customer engagement and lead client-facing activities.
• Plan end-to-end employee transitions and handover.
