Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking an energetic pharmacist for a remote hospital order entry role. This full-time, overnight position will start on a floating overnight schedule and move to a 7-on/7-off rotation, with CA license required and residence in CA; reciprocity to other states may be needed.

The role emphasizes clinical pharmacy, patient care, and collaboration with healthcare teams while dispensing is handled by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in residence state and state of original licensure.
• 2–4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
• Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states.
• Computer savvy to learn multiple pharmacy information systems.
• Excellent communication with healthcare professionals to support clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Remote order entry and CPOE evaluation and verification.
• Ensure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses.
• Perform as staff pharmacist as needed.
• Provide physician and nursing consultations.
• Deliver clinical medication dosing services.
• Review and monitor profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes.
• Coordinate access to medications per facility policy and state/federal law.
