Job summary

ZipStaff Inc. is seeking an HL7 Integration Engineer for end-to-end interoperability in a live Epic environment. This remote (U.S.; Minnetonka, MN time zone) contract role focuses on Epic Bridges interfaces and the integration engine, with deep Bridges and engine expertise.

You will deliver interfaces through requirements, build, test, production, and post-deploy support, troubleshooting 24x7, and coordinating with Epic upgrades and vendor interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Epic Bridges interface development and production support in live healthcare.
• Epic Bridges certification current status required.
• 5+ years HL7 v2.x development with Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, and InterSystems.
• Expert-level build and support of ADT, SIU, ORM, ORU, MDM, DFT, MFN, X12/EDI.
• Able to diagnose interface failures and support Bridges-to-engine messaging.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new interfaces from requirements through build, test, production and post-deploy support.
• Build and support HL7 v2.x interfaces (ADT, SIU, ORM, ORU, MDM, DFT, MFN, X12/EDI).
• Troubleshoot integration-engine failures in a 24x7 setting.
• Make Epic-side build changes to enable or modify interfaces.
• Support vendor interfaces with Epic upgrades and Nova Notes regression.
• Translate clinical/business requirements into HL7 mappings and specs.
• Explain failures clearly to non-technical stakeholders in HIPAA context.
