Stride K12 partner Dogwood Virtual School is seeking a full-time High School Math Teacher certified for North Carolina. This virtual role serves NC and nearby border states within a 30-mile radius, primarily from home, with monthly travel for professional development and testing.

Requirements include a valid state teaching license and a BS degree, plus experience with online learning platforms and data-driven instruction. Proficiency in MS Office tools and adaptability to new tech are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and active state teaching license.
• Experience with online learning platforms.
• Experience teaching online and/or in brick-and-mortar environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
• Willingness to receive coaching regularly from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum.

Responsabilités

• Augments course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from principal and coach.
• Maintains grade book, ensures student academic integrity, makes placement and promotion decisions, and alerts administrators to concerns about student performance and progress.
• Supports learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues, and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment per academy policies.
• Travels as required (on average once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time) for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and as required by school.
• This position is virtual.
