Job summary

Riggs Cat in Oregon is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide high quality repair service on equipment, respond to customer needs promptly, and ensure maximum value for work performed.

You will remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, test and adjust assemblies, use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, and laptops. Read manuals, schematics and parts books, travel as needed while maintaining safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and write routine reports.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including percentages, ratios and unit conversions.
• Familiarity with databases, internet software and order processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, instruments and laptops.
• Understand basic manuals, schematics, and parts books and installation instructions.
• Maintain basic working knowledge of engine and compressor systems.
• Troubleshoot systems for errors.
• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow Riggs safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job accurately and timely.
