System One is seeking a Senior Primary Heat Transfer Component Engineer to support development of advanced nuclear systems. The role focuses on primary/intermediate sodium pumps and heat exchangers, interfacing with suppliers and project teams.

Remote offsite model with Bellevue, WA as location reference. Requires 10+ years in mechanical systems, experience with rotating machinery or shell-and-tube heat exchangers, and strong supplier coordination plus PM skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years with proven mechanical systems skills.
• Experience with rotating machinery or shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
• Supplier coordination and project management experience.
• Full hardware lifecycle from conception to decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers on development of pumps and heat exchangers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to meet scope, performance, and schedule.
• Provide oversight to partners developing mechanical designs for Natrium reactor.
• Manage technical reviews and ensure timely data delivery.
• Establish component requirements, specs, and design packages.
• Apply design codes (ASME/ANSI/ASTM/IEEE/NFPA) in plant components.
