The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to navigate multiple systems to resolve questions efficiently while maintaining patient privacy and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of customer service in health insurance or healthcare call center.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex information.
• Demonstrated problem-solving with empathy and patience.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for members, brokers, and providers with benefits, eligibility, claims, and billing questions.
• Explain benefits and eligibility, assist with claim status and billing issues.
• Research inquiries across multiple systems to provide accurate, clear responses.
• Document all interactions in the system for follow-up and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex inquiries and improve the customer experience.
