Job summary

Harbor Health is seeking an Assistant Counsel to serve as a hands-on attorney supporting the health plan and clinical operations. The role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial agreements across provider, payer, and vendor contracts.

The ideal candidate will bring strong health care regulatory knowledge, sophisticated contracting skills, and the ability to manage a heavy docket while collaborating with product,

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant legal experience, including 1–2 years in-house.
• Experience representing a health plan, managed care organization, or health system.
• Demonstrated skill drafting and negotiating a high volume and variety of commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate health plan contracts and related agreements.
• Oversee delegated entities and provider network contracting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and respond to regulatory inquiries and audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement contract lifecycle management.
