Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Health Information Specialist I (Temporary) to support patient health information requests. Duties include processing requests, maintaining confidentiality, and using standard software tools across a high-volume environment.

The position emphasizes accurate data entry, clear communication, and collaboration within teams while handling inbound/outbound calls and administrative tasks. Remote work is temporary with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of Company software.
• Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
• Respond to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls.
• May assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
