Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an Associate Specialist, Health Information Management for a fully remote role based in the United States. The position focuses on improving medical record documentation, supporting coding and billing readiness, and driving operational efficiency in a technology-driven healthcare environment.

You will review EMRs, identify gaps, coordinate with care teams, and help ensure records are complete while pursuing professional certification and growth in health information

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review medical records accurately while meeting productivity and timeliness expectations.
• Good organizational and follow-up skills to manage multiple work queues and competing priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication with healthcare providers, clinical departments, and management.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify documentation gaps and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Willingness to learn, embrace innovation, and explore AI-enabled tools and process improvements.
• Ability to follow established policies, workflows, and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reanalyze medical records to ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
• Review EMR and resolve items in work queues when information is missing.
• Follow up with nursing and ancillary departments for missing documentation.
• Contact providers regarding missing documentation to enable coding and billing.
• Update unbilled account tracking with status updates for management.
• Identify charting deficiencies and enter them into the deficiency management system.
• Assign deficiencies to providers and monitor until resolved.
• Manage electronic and manual work queues to support chart completion.
• Follow company policies and workflows for account handling.
