Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a HIM Medical Record Completion professional for a 100% remote role that must reside in Colorado. The position supports the UCHealth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo with a full-time schedule of 80 hours per pay period and a days shift.

Pay ranges from $20.87 to $27.13 per hour and is based on experience. Responsibilities include reviewing and validating medical records, resolving discrepancies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree. Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
• Preferred: RHIT by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
• Preferred: Medical experience background

Responsibilities

• Reviews and validates medical records and related documentation per established guidelines.
• Investigates and resolves discrepancies, researches and corrects inaccurate or incomplete records.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification and resolution.
• Prepares reports, presentations and other documents as instructed.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
