Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the United States is seeking a senior AHIMA/AAPC certified coder to support quality and claims processes in a fully remote role. You will assist with daily reporting, process improvements, and training for production staff across our care data platforms.

The position offers full-time hours, shifts 8am-5pm during training and regular business hours thereafter, with pay ranging from $72,800 to $130,000 annually.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC/CCS/CCA) required or equivalent.
• Health insurance knowledge and regulatory guidelines preferred.
• Experience leading projects or teams; mentoring/coaching roles welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily/monthly reporting (Quality, Automation, Platforms).
• Aid in process improvement through mapping and job aids.
• Develop and deliver training for production staff.
• Support inventory management and escalation handling.
• Provide SME support for complex coding questions and clinical programs.
