Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a skilled HCC coder to deliver accurate risk-adjusted coding for MA, ACA, and ESRD programs. You will interpret documentation into ICD-10 and HCC categories, while collaborating with physicians and internal teams to improve accuracy.

You should bring 3–5 years of HCC coding experience, relevant certifications, and proficiency with MS Office. This remote position requires up to 25% travel and adherence to HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years HCC coding and/or coding and billing
• 5 years HCC coding and/or coding and billing (preferred)
• CPC, CRC, CCS or RHIT certifications (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs HCC coding on MA, ACA, and ESRD projects.
• Adheres to CMS guidelines and Highmark policies for coding decisions.
• Supports RPM coding and regulatory audits as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and internal teams to improve documentation.
• Participates in ad-hoc projects and process improvements.
