Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of HCC coding experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and disease processes.
• Proven experience applying MEAT criteria (Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment, Treatment).

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign precise codes (CPT, ICD-10-CM, etc.).
• Conduct data quality reviews and assess compliance.
• Communicate regarding clinical and reimbursement issues.

Skills

HCC coding experience

Knowledge of HEDIS and CPT II measures

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Time-management skills

Education

AHIMA credentials (RHIT, RHIA, or CCS) or AAPC credentials (CPC or CRC)
