Job summary

Principal Financial Group is seeking a Client Relationship Consultant in the Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH area. You will partner with the Sales team and Broker partners to implement customized strategies, manage an in-force block of group benefits, and deliver exceptional service while growing new lines of business.

The role requires a 4+ year background in group benefits or account management, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to travel ~25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 4+ years related experience in group benefits or account management.
• Must obtain and maintain state licenses within 90 days; life/health license preferred.
• Excellent persuasion, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, and oral/written communication skills; strong analytical ability.
• Advanced math skills with graphs, symbols, equations, etc.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail; confidentiality is essential.
• Travel required (approx. 25%), including overnight stays and face-to-face with customers and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Provide renewal analysis and delivery.
