Job summary

The Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness in Farmington Hills, Michigan, seeks a Foundation Relations Associate to advance fundraising by researching, writing, and managing grant proposals. This role focuses on securing funds from foundations and government sources to expand programs and impact.

You will collaborate with program staff to gather data, stories, and outcomes for proposals, maintain a grant calendar, ensure compliance, and prepare grant budgets with finance to report outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit grant writing.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to translate program data into compelling narratives.
• Excellent research and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with grant databases and funding sources.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and programs.
• Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather data, stories, and outcomes for proposals.
