Job summary

Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center is seeking a Grants Accountant to support the Chief Financial and Operations Officer with monthly accounting, grant reporting, and compliance activities. The role focuses on grant budgets, receivable management, and coordination with Development to optimize cash flow.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least two years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.
• Experience with Government Grants and detailed organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage grant financial audits and site visits; assist with time and effort reporting and compliance.
• Prepare grant budgets and budget revisions with input from the team; keep grant tracking documents updated monthly.
• Maintain accounts receivable and pledges; maximize timely cash collections with CFOO and Development.
• Assist with monthly accounting close and posting of cash/pledges between Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.
• Support annual budget and audit preparation; serve as back-up for Accounting & Grants Manager.
