Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Manager of Government Relations to support state and local policy efforts, manage projects, and develop internal policy content.

You will educate and advocate on key public policy issues to advance Ryder’s priorities and maintain relationships with policymakers and stakeholders. The role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and involves cross-functional collaboration, policy development, and external engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, Public Policy/Public Administration or related field.
• 5+ years professional work experience in government relations or related field.
• 3+ years experience navigating state/federal legislative, regulatory, and executive processes.
• 3+ years managing cross-functional projects or teams for corporations or related orgs.
• 3+ years engagement with external affairs, public policy, sales, investor relations, or stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Manage internal government relations programs with project management support.
• Monitor and analyze federal, state, and local regulations and track advocacy outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content for policy initiatives and communications.
• Develop analyses, talking points, and advocacy materials to support objectives and manage contributors.
• Liaison with internal/external stakeholders including governments, trade associations, customers, and consultants.
