Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Government Relations to support state and local policy efforts, manage projects, and develop internal policy while contributing to federal initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional government relations experience.
• 3+ years navigating state/federal legislative, regulatory, and executive processes.
• 3+ years managing cross-functional projects or teams for corporations or related orgs.
• 3+ years engagement with external affairs, public policy, sales, investor relations, or stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal government relations programs and initiatives with project management support.
• Monitor and analyze federal, state, and local regulations and legislation; define and track advocacy outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather qualitative and quantitative content for policy initiatives and integrate strategies into planning and external messaging.
• Develop analyses, talking points, advocacy materials, and content; manage contributors and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders including governments, trade associations, customers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
