Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and secure AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will collaborate with Salesforce, integration, and data teams to keep environments compliant, available, and resilient.

This remote role requires hands-on AWS, security, and automation expertise, with a focus on least-privilege access and secure data workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in cloud engineering or operations.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• Hands-on AWS across compute, storage, networking, and identity (VPCs, subnets, routing, Route 53, load balancers, VPN/Direct Connect).
• Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• Proficiency with IAM policies, KMS, and least-privilege access models.
• Linux system administration and Python automation.
• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and hardening.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs, subnets, security groups, Route 53).
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce, including MuleSoft interfaces.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines for secure data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Secure data services with least-privilege, encryption, and network isolation.
• Implement IAM policy design, KMS, and secrets management.
• Automate security scanning, dependency validation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support RMF/ATO activities, STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts.
• Automate operational tasks using Python.
