Job summary

PeerSource is seeking experienced Golang Developers for contract roles, with a hybrid option in the Denver/Fort Collins, CO area and fully remote eligibility across the US. The team values scalable backend services, REST APIs, and strong collaboration with product and QA teams.

Candidates should have 2-5+ years in software development, Golang expertise, and experience with AWS, MySQL, Docker, and CI/CD. React experience is a plus, and a CS degree or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of software development experience, at least 1 year in Golang
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with AWS cloud services, Git workflows, and automated testing
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, scalability, and Agile practices
• Front-end experience with React is highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or equivalent
• Experience with Node.js, Docker, CI/CD, IaC, microservices, Kubernetes, and observability tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend features and services using Golang
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrate with relational databases
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and maintainability of applications
• Write clean, well-tested code and develop automated unit/integration tests
• Review pull requests and provide technical feedback
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide remediation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across SDLC
• Contribute to engineering standards and documentation while mentoring others
