Job summary

FWI seeks an International Activities & Research Partnerships Specialist to bridge NOAA's OAR with global scientific and diplomatic communities. The role emphasizes briefing materials, synthesis of diverse information, and managing international engagements and travel.

Ideal candidates have a background in international relations or science policy, strong analytical skills, and ability to work across labs and agencies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical or business discipline; advanced degrees may shorten experience.
• 8+ years of professional and/or academic experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and synthesize information into portfolio summaries and plans for review by NOAA leadership and international counterparts.
• Prepare briefing materials, memos, and talking points for interagency and international meetings.
• Attend seminars and program reviews to deepen understanding of NOAA programs and foreign policy objectives.
• Provide staff support for international meetings, workshops, and events and maintain SOPs for travel processes.
• Track international engagements and maintain engagement tracking systems for the federal program.
