Job summary

Skyward Specialty is seeking a Global Property Claims Adjuster to join our Property Claims team. This role focuses on commercial property claims across global, excess and surplus lines, and layered market placements; you will manage a caseload with guidance from senior peers and collaborate with adjusters, underwriters, legal and reinsurance teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial property claims experience.
• Texas adjuster license.
• Understanding of property insurance policies, investigations, coverage, and reserving.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organization and multitasking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn claims systems.
• Experience in excess and surplus or global property claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned caseload of commercial property claims with guidance.
• Review policy terms and evaluate coverage issues.
• Prepare claim correspondence and assist with coverage communications.
• Establish claim reserves with guidance on complex matters.
• Coordinate with independent adjusters and market partners in investigations.
• Review adjuster reports, estimates, and supporting documents.
• Maintain well-documented claim files.
• Communicate with insureds, brokers, adjusters on status and next steps.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, reinsurance and internal stakeholders.
• Support handling of larger or complex claims and develop expertise.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and claim-handling standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Leverage AI/digital tools to support analysis while maintaining confidentiality.
