Job summary

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a PR / External Communications Manager to advance product reputation and brand awareness through strategic PR initiatives. The role involves creating content, managing external vendors, and coordinating media opportunities in a remote, full-time capacity.

You will lead SEO-driven content and thought leadership pieces, while collaborating with Marketing and Legal to safeguard SDG’s reputation across regions.

Qualifications

• Experience in PR, External Communications, Corporate Communications, or Reputation Management.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Knowledge of SERM and online reputation management practices.
• Understanding of SEO principles and ability to create SEO-driven content.
• Basic understanding of crisis and issues communications.

Responsibilities

• Execute PR and external communication initiatives to support product reputation and brand awareness.
• Brainstorm and execute viral PR campaigns.
• Manage online reputation of key products, including paid placements and branded search monitoring.
• Write and edit high-quality content, including PR materials and thought leadership pieces.
• Coordinate and manage external vendors and agencies.
• Support content creation for C-level executives and media opportunities.
• Assist in event planning and communications activities as needed.
• Collaborate with Marketing, SEO, Legal and other stakeholders on reputation projects.
• Contribute to crisis communications and reputation management initiatives.
