Job summary

EarthScope Consortium, Inc. is seeking a Geo Workforce Associate I to support workforce development activities in geosciences.

The role focuses on implementing elements of the geo-workforce initiative to build a robust, well-trained geoscience workforce ready to tackle emerging scientific and societal issues. The position emphasizes collaboration with partner organizations, recruitment strategies, and active participation in internships, publications, and conference presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Knowledge of geophysics or geosciences.
• Experience supporting workforce development programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement geophysics workforce programming and products designed to identify and attract potential geophysicists, prepare, enhance the skills of, and retain geophysicists, and increase the geophysics and geoscience workforce.
• Ensure workforce programming supports the needs of all participants.
• Implement recruitment strategies that promote workforce development programs and attract qualified candidates to join the geophysics and geosciences workforce.
• Collaborate with partner organizations to advance workforce priorities.
• Support the preparation of publications documenting workforce projects and their impacts.
• Support students and internships and present results at conferences.
• Maintain online presence for workforce activities within the organization.
