Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Civil / Geotechnical Engineer II for a remote, 11-month contract. Based in Juno Beach, FL, the role supports the E&C Civil SME team, with travel up to 20% across North America.
You will deliver engineering support for wind, solar and energy storage projects and participate in design reviews. Requirements include a Master’s in civil engineering, PE licensure in at least one US jurisdiction, and 8+ years in geotechnical engineering performing field
Qualifications
- Master's degree in civil engineering.
- PE Licensure in at least one US jurisdiction.
- Eight+ years of geotechnical engineering experience including field investigations and reports.
- Ability to analyze complex geotechnical issues and manage large projects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, substations and transmission projects.
- Participate in design and constructability reviews; provide accurate comments to avoid schedule delays.
- Resolve critical execution-phase issues that could affect budget and schedule.
- Coordinate external engineering consultants to validate opinions.
- Perform due diligence related to new technologies.
