Job summary

DataAnnotation seeks experienced computational biologists and bioinformaticians to help train AI models by designing realistic analysis tasks, running them through frontier AI agents, and grading outputs to a professional standard.

You will write clear grading rubrics, explain decisions, and flag concrete failures with evidence. The role emphasizes Genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and multiomics, with remote, project-based work and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on analyzing real biological data in industry, an academic lab, or a research institute.
• Ability to write, debug, and explain analysis code in Python and/or R.
• Depth in at least one area: genomics/variant interpretation; transcriptomics; proteomics/metabolomics; population/genetics; ML in biology; clinical genomics; metagenomics/phylogenetics.
• Managed multistep analyses from raw data to interpretation and understood normalization, batch effects, and multiple-testing correction.
• Master’s or PhD (or current PhD candidate) in biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, CS, completed in the U.S., Canada, Europe, or the UK.
• Clear written English and comfort with ambiguity; familiarity with AI/LLM tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
• Based in the United States, Canada, or the UK (Ireland and Australia may also be accepted).

Responsibilities

• Design realistic analysis tasks from your workflows, including prompts and needed files.
• Run tasks through frontier AI agents and grade deliverables against professional standards.
• Write clear grading rubrics and justify pass/fail decisions.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence (batch effects, wrong stats, misused references, dropped samples).
