DataAnnotation is seeking experienced computational biologists and bioinformaticians to train AI models by designing realistic analysis tasks and evaluating frontier AI agents on real data.

You will grade reports and manuscripts against professional standards, write clear rubrics, and explain why results pass or fail using rigorous normalization and statistical approaches. This is a flexible, remote opportunity with project-based work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on analyzing real biological data in industry, an academic lab, or a research institute.
• Proficient in writing, debugging, and explaining analysis code in Python and/or R.
• Depth in at least one area: genomics/variant interpretation; transcriptomics; proteomics/metabolomics; population/genetics; ML in biology; clinical genomics; metagenomics/phylogenetics.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic analysis tasks from your workflows, including prompts, files, and metadata needed by agents.
• Run tasks through frontier AI agents and grade the deliverable against professional standards.
• Write clear grading rubrics and explain why a response passes or fails.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence, such as ignored batch effects or incorrect statistical tests.
