Job summary

PreventionGenetics, part of Abbott Cancer Diagnostics, is seeking an Associate Clinical Curation Scientist to interpret and classify genetic variants, applying ACMG/AMP and ClinGen guidelines to literature and public databases. You will work with laboratory geneticists and the Clinical Laboratory Director to maintain the variant database and prepare test reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Genetics, Genomics, or related field.
• 2+ years genomic medicine data research with NGS data.
• Strong written and verbal communication of complex genetic information.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the variant interpretation database by documenting gene alterations.
• Interpret and analyze variants from clinical samples.
• Collaborate with Geneticists and Laboratory Directors to refine reports.
• Manage confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
