Job summary

Abbott, in collaboration with PreventionGenetics, seeks an Associate Clinical Curation Scientist to interpret and classify genetic variants and maintain the variant database for clinical reports. You will collaborate with laboratory geneticists and the Clinical Laboratory Director to ensure accurate, well-documented results.

The role supports field-based remote work or on-site presence at Marshfield, WI, with potential travel for training and occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Genomics, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with genomic medicine data research including NGS data and public databases (NCBI, EBI, UCSC, IGV).
• Excellent verbal and written communication to convey complex genetic information.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and classify genetic variants using ACMG/AMP and ClinGen guidelines.
• Maintain PreventionGenetics variant database and prepare test reports.
• Collaborate with Geneticists and Laboratory Directors to refine content and structure reports.
• Manage confidential information and communicate findings clearly.
