SandboxAQ is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to advance a generative platform for molecular design in the United States with a remote work option. You will develop frontier models, integrate surrogates and simulations, and steer data-driven design decisions within a multidisciplinary team of chemists, physicists, and engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, production-grade software, and collaboration across research and product teams to impact drug discovery and materials

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience building and shipping modern generative ML for material discovery.
• Proficient production-grade code for industry-scale applications.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
• PhD or MSc in Computational Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in fast-paced teams.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and evolve SandboxAQ's flagship generative platform for material discovery.
• Implement and optimize state-of-the-art generative models (diffusion, flow-matching, GFlowNets) for high-dimensional chemical space.
• Own the reward interface by integrating surrogates and simulations as objective signals.
• Develop workflows to generate and evaluate hypotheses guiding design decisions.
• Identify data sources and manage ingestion, QC, and validation.
• Collaborate daily with ML researchers and cross-functional teams.
