The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Student Extern General Accounting to provide foundational accounting support and hands-on experience in finance and supply chain processes. The role emphasizes training, data analysis, and documentation in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates are junior or senior college students pursuing accounting, finance, or supply chain; strong communication and analytical skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and college-bound or in-college students.
• Preferred: enrolled at an accredited university as a junior or senior in Accounting, Finance or Supply Chain or a related master's program.

Responsabilités

• Complete training in Oracle PeopleSoft functions, OBIEE reports, requisition creation, Accounts Payable, Procure to Pay, and General Accounting entry creation.
• Perform Excel-based data consolidation activities to support reporting and analysis.
• Assist with development of detailed training and process documentation.
• Run queries for budgeting and financial analysis; prepare reconciliations and journal entries.
