Mercor is hiring a Software Engineer, Full Stack, for a remote contract role. The candidate will work across Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, and TypeScript to build full-stack applications and internal tools while integrating model APIs and telemetry.

You will collaborate with the research team and maintain code quality, architecture, and documentation, with a 40-hour work week. Candidates should have 3+ years production software experience, proficiency in at least two languages, and hands-on stack

Qualificações

• 3+ years professional production software experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C++ and another language.
• Backend, APIs, frontend, databases, and cloud deployment experience.
• Onboard unfamiliar codebases quickly with minimal ramp-up.
• Demonstrable career progression.
• Available for 40 hours/week on weekdays.
• Strong written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build and ship full-stack applications, services, and internal tools in Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, or TypeScript.
• Integrate pre-release model APIs into working software, including tool interfaces, evaluation harnesses, and telemetry.
• Diagnose and document model and integration failure modes, translating observations into feedback for the research team.
• Prototype quickly against shifting requirements, delivering working increments with limited up-front specification.
• Collaborate with the engineering manager and other engineers to maintain code quality, architecture, and documentation.
